There's no one-size-fits-all therapy. Your therapy should be as unique as you are. For that reason, I believe therapy should be collaborative and creative. My goal is to offer unwavering support as you work towards your personal growth and aspirations.

Anxiety and Perfectionism

There are so many reasons that we develop anxiety, both globally and in specific situations. I help people manage their anxiety and take-charge of their own personal goals through a combination of mindfulness, psychodynamic therapy, and cognitive behavioral therapy.

Trauma

Throughout our lives, we can encounter experiences that shake us to our core or stick with us, even when we want to move on. Traumatic experiences are stored differently in our brains and bodies. Whether it’s a recent experience or old stuff, trauma-informed therapy and EMDR can help change the intensity of these past experiences and rewire how our nervous system responds to future situations.

Neurodiversity-affirming Therapy

I believe in the social model of Autism, which recognizes the mismatch between what Autistic people need and what society provides. I support neurodivergent people in finding environmental adjustments, seeking accommodations, and building internal resources to cope with this discrepancy. Executive functioning weaknesses can impact much more than just attention. Our sessions can include executive functioning coaching to support people with ADHD.

Parenting and Postpartum Care

Parenting for every phase of your child’s development requires you to constantly adjust to their needs. My background in early childhood education allows me to provide the most recent research on child development, along with practical strategies, to make parenting easier. I particularly enjoy working with parents who want to parent differently from their own upbringing and parents of children with more significant needs.

Hello! I’m Carli Koch, PhD

I’m excited that you’re here and starting the next chapter of your journey. I’m here to help you figure out your next steps. Whether it’s your first time reaching out to a therapist or you’ve been in therapy for years, my goal is to help you find the right partnership so that you can move forward.

I’m a licensed psychologist, certified EMDR therapist, and nationally certified school psychologist who works with people of all ages. I have advanced clinical training in anxiety, neurodiversity, and integrative trauma treatment. My varied background helps me to approach therapy with an open-mind and recognize that each person may need different tools.

Therapy can be a powerful way to understand your thoughts, emotions, and patterns. But sometimes, talking alone can feel like going in circles — revisiting the same struggles without real movement. Drawing on a wider range of therapy techniques can offer more ways to see the same problems in a new light. My goal is to work with you to detemine what you hope to achieve in therapy and create the best path to attain it. Reach out below so we can begin the conversation.
